Photokrete S.L. is a Deeptech company, established as a Knowledge-Based Company and spin-off of the Spanish National Research Council (CFM-CSIC), the Public University of Navarra (UPNA), and the University of the Basque Country (EHU). Its mission is to revolutionize the construction sector by developing and marketing new photonic cementitious materials with the capacity for autonomous daytime radiative cooling. Our Photokrete mortars can reduce urban temperatures by up to 12 degrees during heat waves, which has a huge impact on energy savings for cooling. Currently, it is the only comprehensive and scalable solution to mitigate the urban heat island effect.
