Our product enables permanent CO2 storage in concrete and we can replace 60%of the required river sand with non-recyclable plastic waste. It uses 75% less water for curing in comparison to traditional concrete. Our material is lighter (reducing Co2 emissions associated with shipping) and it has a superior strength to weight ratio allowing less materials to be used reducing both the cost and environmental impact. As buildings become taller this advantage quickly compounds. Our eco-concrete cures faster and it’s faster setting time allows greatly reduced labor costs for construction. In a nut shell, our material not only addresses 4 main environmental challenges (global river sand shortage, water scarcity, climate change and plastic pollution) but also is a much better material. It cures faster, it is lighter, it costs less to produce, it uses less water, it uses less sand and it absorbs Co2.
